In January of 2018, G began independent development on child and adult smart watches utilizing the licenses already acquired. Working with factories overseas, an entirely original user interface was developed and by September, four silhouettes were tested and approved for Holiday 2018 sale and distribution. Within months, the product became an instant best-seller and was nominated for the largest award in the licensing industry. The bag went through ten iterations before the final design was decided upon. The collaboration's limited run was released February 2015 and received high acclaim within multiple markets. The goal was to create a woodland creature to be brought to life by Jim Henson's Creature Shop and featured in the upcoming 2018 - 2019 Netflix production of Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, the prequel series to the 1982 film Dark Crystal. The character had to be original and not a species already used in the film. The portrait was made for a benefit art show called Biting Back NYC, which was a retaliation to the controversial Guggenheim art exhibit featuring displays of animal cruelty, and was eventually canceled due to severe backlash. It was my first time creating a portrait of an animal, but I really wanted it to be an uplifting piece, due to the nature and theme of the show. It was printed on a 18" x 18" aluminum plate and sold at the show's opening.
